Blind Test (offline analysis)
To try to better understand the impact of the brand on customers because of its notoriety and history, I set up a blind test to see the results by myself.
On the one hand we have the bottle of citrus Schweppes (1.20€ per liter), on the other hand the bottle from the Casino Supermarket which offers the same aroma but at a lower price (0.8€ per liter).
So that there is no influenced opinion, I obviously hid the bottles and filled 2 cups with the drinks without giving more information.
(all the interviewees are between 20 and 22 years old, are also students at skema and have already consumed the 2 brands before this experience)
The results are as follows:
Arthur :
→ Observation: less sugar in Casino drink
→ Preference: Schweppes
Romain:
→ Observation: Schweppes cup is sweeter
→ Preference: Schweppes
Léo:
→ Observation: Schweppes has more taste
→ Preference: Schweppes
Valentin:
→ Observation: casino drink is more natural
→ Preference: Casino drink
Corentin:
→ Observation: better flavour in Casino drink
→ Preference: Casino Drink
Philippe:
→ Observation: no difference for him
→ Preference: Schweppes = Casino drink
As the blind test results shows, participants do not see much difference in taste of the two drinks ( 3 preferring Schweppes, 2 preferring Casino drink and the other one who does not see the difference).
